Scott has 22 years of experience, advising on contractual indemnities, third party damage under ISR, Machinery, DSU and liability policies, business interruption, saturated soils and LEG exclusions

Scott’s experience has seen him rank highly in the Australian Financial Review’s Best Lawyers list in the Construction/Infrastructure category since 2014 and quoted “leads on construction and engineering work” in the Legal 500 Guide.

Scott has in‑depth specialist expertise, superior client service, and his understanding of the insurance market is demonstrated through partnering with Australia’s largest insurers and a number of Lloyd’s syndicates. Working with a variety of clients has given him a deep understanding of clients’ needs and business drivers which allows him to provide acute technical advice with a commercial focus on all claims.

Scott also works closely with insurers, brokers and customers to proactively manage risk to reputation and protect his client’s brand.

Scott was appointed as Managing Partner of Curwoods Lawyers in 2007. His success has come down to strategies that focus on providing clients with excellence in client service.

Scott has created an agile and innovative business by strategically partnering with the firm’s clients. He believes in using a ‘Different Perspective’ to challenge traditional ways of thinking.
