Sam has 20 years’ experience as a commercial litigation lawyer. He specialises in acting for banks, financiers and insolvency practitioners on commercial recoveries, priority disputes and related issues.

Sam’s move to Curwoods in April 2013 adds to the Commercial Group a recoveries, commercial litigation and insolvency specialist. Sam’s skill set and experience will mesh in well with the areas of practice and expertise of the firm’s Commercial Group. With over 20 years’ experience, Sam has acted for major banks, credit unions and accounting firms. Sam’s practice includes both secured and unsecured recoveries. He provides advice on priority issues and the effect of legislative instruments such as the National Credit Code. Sam has also conducted large and complex voidable transactions claims for liquidators and regularly gives advice to insolvency practitioners on issues that arise during the course of administrations and liquidations.

Sam has given many papers and seminars on credit and insolvency issues to clients and their senior management and advisors.

Sam is a member of the Law Society of NSW and a NSW Councillor for the Australian Institute of Credit Management.
