Public Risk Insurance | Damage from Defective Products

Emma specialises in defendant insurance litigation, with a particular emphasis on public risk insurance and damage from defective products. 

Emma joined Curwoods as a Senior Associate in 2008. She provides advice to clients on public risk insurance, damage from defective products, general insurance, contractual policy and indemnity issues and catastrophic claims.

Emma’s experience extends beyond advice on liability and quantum to advising clients on policy coverage and interpretation, dual insurance and contractual indemnity issues.

Emma has extensive experience in conducting litigation in various jurisdictions including the NSW Court of Appeal, NSW and ACT Supreme Courts and the NSW District Court.

She is also a proactive participant in formal (mediation) and informal dispute resolution procedures, with the objective of facilitating early resolution of claims.

Emma is a member of the Women Lawyers’ Association of NSW, the Law Society of NSW and the NSW Claims Discussion Group.
