Private Client

An entrepreneurial mind is a creative mind. To build a business, be it by your own hands, with the help of a family, or as a small team, requires hard work, original business thinking and a degree of risk taking. It also usually depends on receiving some good advice along the way.

The Curwoods Private Client team is made up of a close-knit group of professionals possessing a diverse set of skills and experience.  The team has built close relationships with our valued private clients over many years and can effectively and discreetly handle all manner of issues often facing families and their businesses, small to large, including:

  • Wills, estate planning and estate probate and administration
  • Contested wills
  • Trusts
  • Real estate conveyancing, borrowing and leasing
  • Business set up and on-going advice
  • Personal property transactions
  • Intra family property and financial arrangements and settlements

We measure our success by the level of trust and confidence our private clients place in us concerning all manner of things in their private and business affairs – we pride ourselves as being a trusted advisor in which our private clients have complete confidence as to both discretion and competence.  A good example of this trust is what our private clients ask us to do. For example, partners of Curwoods often act as trustees of our clients’ wills; are attorneys for our clients under powers of attorney; and also act as guardians for our clients under guardianship instruments.
